Re: taking pictures in android:the blind way? One thing I forgot to mention in the last post is that the voice feedback with Samsung devices had a considerable bump with the Galaxy S5. I find it very good. I took a picture of my laptop from the back side, and it recognized HP logo Also, I tried taking pictures of a text in my English book, it was really great. I read the text although I think sited help would be needed to take the picture as good as to copy and use and share it. Ive heard that VO makes IPhone camera accessible, but since the android camera app seems to be totally inaccessible...also, is there any way to fecilitate face recognition in the droid? The camera app in Samsung devices does actually give you speech feedback as far as face recognition goes and I have a selfie to proove it, not that Ill be posting it anywhere Im not sure about other phones. I think the voice can also do face recognition and there may be more accessible camera apps on google play. As pitermach stated, the built-in camera app in Samsung devices, especially those which have a front-facing camera gives you speech feedback when detecting 1 or more faces. I can take a picture right by the time it says: one face has been detected, but Im not sure if I can do it precisely as my hand might move a little, and I may lose the right position.Actually it is a great way to take selfiees.
