Re: Android Notification Management Help @MyDearWatson, Not having a go, but try to remember that you are referring to the Local Context Menu for TalkBack, where performing a gesutere associated to it displays actions related to the currently selected item only. For example, you would get options to set the slider position if you were focused on... you guessed it. A slider. While the Global Context Menu is (as the name suggests) much wider in what it can do, so you have shortcuts to adjust common TB settings, as well as granularity controls.On the other hand, VoiceOver has a similar in theory function in its rotor, with the item called Actions. It too allows the user to swipe through context-sensitive options related to the currently selected item.@Jeffb, Yes, but the button to clear all is all the way at the bottom, once I've scrolled past all of my notifications. Shame on Google for not having them in Youtube app even though every single video thumbnail has an actions menu. Hell Gmail indeed supports talkback's actions menu. Even then, a dismissed notification was just a swipe down and double tap away on iOS. We don't have an actions rotor item, so dismissing them is takes more time, even though you can apparently with a swipe left or right. Also, there is either grouping or it's really weird, like multiple apps will be grouped into one weird category. Re: Android Notification Management Help As an android user, I will admit to preferring how they are handled on iOS, since you can just dismiss them without having to turn them off entirely. I also get so many that they pile up and I cant see the old ones anymore until something is cleared, which means I have to tap on the notification and open the app for it to dismiss it. Just being able to dismiss it directly from the control panel would solve a ton of problems on that for me. Android Notification Management Help Hi forum,I often find on my Android phone I have tens of notifications when scrolling back through the list to find a recent one. First off, why isn't Android's sorting done purely on a time basis? What is it sorting by if it's not and how can I customize that sorting? When I want to find a notification I just got, I have to scroll back more than I would have liked to. Also, they just seem to build up so frequently, so fast, when my iOS devices with the same general apps are clear. Why is this? I much preferred notifications on iOS, why might that be? As I can't figure out what's so different between them now.
