I most likely won't be using this too terribly often, but figured it would be knowledge on some basic server-side setup that could have some good practical use if and when or someone else would need it.I'll also bear in mind what you said @8 - thanks

After generating your new certificate file, set the path of the cert file to /usr/share/NVDARemoteServer/server.pem in your configuration file. I'm pretty sure this will tell the server to use the newly generated certificate as opposed to the one that's

THe thing worked up until I applied the ssl certificate, then it flat out refused to connect. Also the dns resolving is flaky, but that could easily be because I need to switch the dns nameservers over from Namecheap's basic dns server to the nameservers
