I've given up hope on this game being accessible past a certain point tbh. The dev seems to be focusing on expansion, based on all the second universe stuff that's been happening. If they get to screen reader support at some point I'll be happy, but I don't really have any hope or expectation it'll happen at this point unless somebody grabs the source from github and puts up a fork.

Looking at the changelog, the last screen reader fixes were in 19, so some updates to controls for things like autojobs and to the player spire would be great. maybe I'll drop green satellite a line just to remind him people are still trimping.

Hi,I've been a trimps player for a little over a year now, just got back into it a few months ago and have managed to over double my HZE since returning to it. Hey it's a fantastic game, what can I say. I decided to contribute to this topic to offer some help with the player spire mechanic. Believe it or not, it is actually usable if you're willing to work around the horrible UI quality. I don't believe the player spire is immediately critical, but later on the bonuses get quite good so it's important to learn your way around the UI at some point. So here goes. The UI consists entirely of clickables, so let's start at the top and arrow our way through. Before we get started, be sure to maximize the window of your browser. For whatever reason at least with NVDA, things aren't picked up properly if the window isn't big enough. Ok, let's get started.The first thing that will appear past the table that's always at the bottom of the screen is the spire itself. The player starts off with one floor consisting of five cells, and you're able to unlock more by completing objectives which we'll get to. Each square is recognized by NVDA as a clickable space. As you arrow down, your cursor starts at the top left and moves to the right until the sixth clickable, at which point it jumps down to the second row of squares if there is one, starting at the left most square in that row and moving to the right, and so on. As you unlock floors, they'll appear at the top as five new squares and will thus be the first ones you arrow down past. Here's the confusing part. Much like the world, enemies actually enter your spire from the bottom left, travel to the right, and ascend to the next floor when they reach the right side, something we can't accurately represent with a screen reader since our cursor starts at the top left or the bottom right depending on whether you're scrolling up or down. As you place traps and towers in your spire, you'll have to get good at making this flip in your mind, as the placement of things is very important to maximize damage. Just imagine a grid of 5 squares across by however many floors you have, and visualize the path enemies take as they start from the bottom left corner, travel to the right most column, ascend to the next floor and appear on the left side again.  You may also notice numbers appearing in different places. These are enemies traveling on the grid, and the numbers are each enemy's health. You can try to follow them to get a feel for how they move and are damaged, but honestly it's not all that helpful because of the way screen readers work.Directly beneath the spire grid is the tutorial text that guides you through building the first 10 or so floors of your spire. Beneath this are some numbers that I haven't figured out the meaning of yet. I just know they're very annoying and have a tendency to trap my cursor, so just hammer the arrow fast or press control end or something to get past it. Next are your stats like runestones, spirestones etc. Then we have a bunch of buttons, all of which are self-explanatory or explained in the Wiki, which you should really be reading if you're not already. And now we have perhaps the most important section, the one with which we select the implements of destruction to place in our spire. Each button is a toggle kind of like a radio button. Press the button, then press a square on the grid to place a trap or tower. No need to press it each time, it will remain selected until you select another type. If you select a square with something already on it, and you have a different type selected than what's on that square, the two will be swapped. This is really handy, and basically makes the sell button pointless. And finally we have the unlabeled close button with a handy separator by it, though of course you can always press escape to close the spire window.Now for some tips. First off, since obviously the grid doesn't indicate at all what is placed on it, you should create a model somewhere else to remind yourself what is placed where. This can be a spreadsheet, a piece of gridded braille paper, pipe cleaners and tape, whatever you want it to be as long is it's representative to you. Come up with symbols to represent each type of thing you have placed, and make a key so you don't forget them. Me? If you login to playfab on both devices with your account, the versions should synchronise automatically, so when you login on one device with a save that is further along, you get a dialogue asking if you want to automatically import the playfab save. The only thing to be aware of, is that the playfab save doesn't save your amount of resources, just your highest zone completion, helium, heirlooms etc, so you might want to make sure you've finished a zone, and also if your going for any sort of speed based achievements, try and play them through on one device, time allowing.It's also wise to occasionally save a text string, just in case for backup purposes, but in terms of multiple devices there should be no problem, I was doing it all the time between my desktop and laptop whilst mrs. Dark was in radio therapy. Actually, I've not played trimps for a few weeks now, so I probably ought to get back and do a few more runs, since it's a nice game to play in the background even whilst doing other things.

Huh, that's weird.I have Google Chrome and NVDA and everything works quite well, but I probably use the heading keys for than the buttons to move around. Try that instead.Only problem is that Chrome gobbles up memory like a hoard of starving turkeys

Hi, that's Google chrome and NVDA acting up. It's not necessarily trimps, but yeah for some reason trimps makes it worse. I think it has to do with the dynamic nature of the page, because trimps updates its interface elements many times per second, so NVDA gets confused sometimes.

hi.I've noticed that when I play trimps, the accessibility seams to jump all over the place, I press b for button and it jumps me around.I don't have the best computer in the world, 4 gigs of ram and a 500 gig hard drive.I've canged some settings now and i think there's a little improvement.

It said I unlocked them after reaching zone 60, and it said I found a map that was covered in darkness, but I'm not seeing a tab... where exactly in the map screen is the tab??  At the begining before the Configure Maps button?

I did have a discussion via email with green satellite about that, though I've not got there yet myself, and likely by the time I do it'll probably be fixed, . I don't have discord working at the moment, but let me know any thoughts. Btw, any plans to add more headings to other screens in the game, EG for maps in the map chamber, or to make navigating the challenges screen a bit smoother? A fix for autojob might be nice too.

Yup, my farthest raids scratched the surface of that stuff.The DG seems to be accessible enough with a little tweaking. I could do most things including buy levels and upgrades.In preticular, I think there is a way to show a description for an upgrade by clicking on that. Try that.

Yes, activating magnitoshriek will  make the next improbability easier. As with the damage boost, it also improves depending upon the level of bionic wonderland you've completed. Just hit the button near the trimp stats, though be ware you can only use it once every four zones.

The higher level of bionic wonderland map you complete, the more robotrimps you get for all subsequent runs. If you want to beat a higher level of the bionic wonderland later, you'll need to do all the previous levels first, if you haven't already that run.

The first auto storage is nice yeah, but at z150 you can get an upgraded one, that instabuilds them, and if it needs to build them because you don't have enough storage to hold all the resources, it'll save the extra resources for you until the storage has been built.

Actually auto storage is unlocked when completing a void map at z75 or later see The trimps wiki, so it's not too hard to get after your first few runs. Between auto storage and time warps, playing in a relaxed way is no problem. I'm still around total z160 myself, though there is This guide, for trying the first spire. Also, I'll remind people not to forget challenge 2 runs, since they can really help up your attack and gained helium.The one thing I do wonder about is screen reader adaptations to the player spire, which is something green satellite mentioned, but I'm not sure if they ever got finished or not, still if people are at the point of attempting the spire, this might be worth contacting him about since I don't believe the player spire will be accessible otherwise.

@mhussain, you can use the buttons to go through the perks on the portal screen rather like buying equipment. I'm at 4k myself at the moment, though have also done a few challenge 2 runs to build up my helium gained and trimp attack. I am always playing trimps, but only sometimes play overly actively, sometimes I'll just run to a map and have my trimps farm for a day or two to build up weapons to let me progress to higher zones even when it isn't quite as time efficient if I don't want to devote a lot of time to the game. For example, I'm just finishing a size run in challenge 2, and was going to portal at 130, but being christmas and busy, ended up hanging on, and since I'm now at 148, I thought I might as well hang on until 150 to get the extra bonuses. maybe I'll do a quicker run or two next.

According to the release notes, the cap isn't on total number of Tributes (I've already got more than that myself), but on bennifits derived from a bonus called Greed, which I'm guessing is a higher level perk or mastery or something I've not got to yet. Either way, nothing that affects current tribute functions from what I can see.

The boost to damage from Challenge 2's are helpful, but the really important thing is the boost to helium gained, since for every 10 zones you get an extra 0.1 helium in the future, and this bonus goes up every 100 zones. it doesn't sound much, but it builds up, especially when your getting large amounts of helium.

yeah challenge2 only increases the yielded bonus when you reach a higher zone, repeating challenge2 to the same zone will not make any difference at all.

Honestly I'm just trying to grind helium atm. Really struggling to get past the zone 185 mark, and lots of the challenges now want me to beat zone 190. So that's been kinda painful.

Challenge 2's do not reward helium, they give a bonus to attack, health and total helium gained, see The challenge 2 page on the wiki for details, though your rather brave doing coordinated as a challenge 2.Thus far I've done diciplin, meditate, and am just doing size, each to about zone 110 or so, though I'll probably be able to take size further.It's helpful to do them between helium runs or completing normal challenges since they give some very nice bonuses.

Basically, you're sacrificing getting helium, and in exchange getting a permanent damage boost, which will depend on your highest zone reached.

serious problem with trimps. i can't see how to build the weapons anymore since the new update. i've tried changing the filters around from all to buildings to jobs etc but it doesn't work. obviously something hasn't been tested properly and as such the screen reader version is totally messed up.

A robotrimp's ability, when activated, reduces the attack of the next improbability you encounter by a percentage based on how many robotrimps you have.When you use the ability, it requires you to clear 5 zones before you can use it again.You can get robotrimps by running Bionic wonderland maps, which start at level 125 and you will unlock a new one that is 15 levels higher then the last one you played when you finish it.

The other universe is late game content.Only think about it once you get to zone 700.The perfect slider causes maps to have the best possible values for size, loot and difficulty.If the game is paused, go to the bottom of the page, then go up until you find a clickable thing that says how long you've been playing, for example 00:00:01:20Then click on it and the game should unpause.You can also disable pausing in settings.

Is anyone else unable to read Achievements since the big update? I'm still getting them, but when I click on Achievements, all I get is the close button and the sentence "You are dealing % extra damage." No table, no witty comment, nothing but that.
