Re: removing desktop from alt tab setting
Re: removing desktop from alt tab setting As far as I know, you pick a theme to start with in the Personalization control panel app. Then using the same control panel app make all the changes you want to the theme, such as icons, wallpaper, sounds, pointers, and etc., then save it as your own custom theme. If you want to create new themes to distribute, you can probably find that information on Microsoft's web site. Re: removing desktop from alt tab setting
Re: removing desktop from alt tab setting Ok, mystery solved, and apparently I was wrong. When I set the theme to Windows 7 Basic, desktop was restored to the alt tab loop, but when I reset the theme back to Windows Classic, desktop was removed. It appears that Microsoft, in their infinite wisdom, decided that people who want to use the Windows Classic theme don't want desktop to appear in the alt tab loop.So now I'm off to see how hard it will be to put the desktop back in the alt tab loop. Re: removing desktop from alt tab setting
Re: removing desktop from alt tab setting well it definitely has something to do with the themes, although for the life of me I'm still not sure what I did because I apparently created my own theme at some point where the desktop is hidden from alt tab... but I can confirm that windows classic does do the same thing so thanks URL: http://forum.audiogames.net/viewtopic.php?pid=266260#p266260 ___ Audiogames-reflector mailing list Audiogames-reflector@sabahattin-gucukoglu.com https://sabahattin-gucukoglu.com/cgi-bin/mailman/listinfo/audiogames-reflector
Re: removing desktop from alt tab setting
Re: removing desktop from alt tab setting Hmmm, that's simple enough to be worth a shot.I myself don't like skins so I have Windows set to use the Windows Classic theme, think Windows 2000 and earlier and you'll get the idea, I have a theory that the cleaner look helps screen readers when they have to use OCR.I still had the desktop in the alt tab loop after switching so I don't think it's my theme, but re applying the theme might be a fix. Re: removing desktop from alt tab setting
Re: removing desktop from alt tab setting try going into themes, and switch to windows 7 classic. Log off may be required. That should resolve the issue. Re: removing desktop from alt tab setting I have absolutely no clue. I did something that made it disappear, but didn't realize it until some time later when I went looking for it. Re: removing desktop from alt tab setting Ah, Ok, my mistake. I'm still interested because on my system "Desktop" used to show up in the alt tab list, now it doesn't and I'd like to get it back. Re: removing desktop from alt tab setting I think switching theme to windows classic should do the trick as far as I am aware.Anyone know how to do this on windows 8.1? Even if I mod the themes list to show the classic theme it still doesn't work.
