Same with trans women, again in one of her lesser known books. I honestly don't remember names of any of these, nor do I particularly care, but a little googling will probably get you the info you need.Also yeah, I am being racist. To myself, and to millions of others like me, probably you as well. It's called taking responsibility.Also yeah, I do read Harry Potter fanfics. Not as much as I used to a long time ago, but still. I admire the talents of some of these authors, most of whom do this stuff in their spare time. Often their work ends up being much better than the original source material. That isn't to say that I won't be reading the original books again mind you, for better or worse, they were a huge part of my childhood. I just think that in general, giving this author more support she really doesn't deserve can never be a good thing. As long as she doesn't insult any group in her books, which so far she didn't, I will continue reading. Whether you will consider her as a bad writer because of something she said unrelated to anything she wrote is entirely your choice. This topic, last I checked was about a story she wrote, not about an agenda, about homophobyc people or what she thinks about people who are homosexual. The fact this is dragged into so many topics is getting annoying. You have every right to your opinion, but you can express it in relevant topics. For the record, I don't consider it completely inconceivable that Dumbledore was in fact gay all along, but the fact that even in the fantastic beasts movies don't even really try to touch on the fact really speaks for itself in my opinion. Not even a kiss, or any real exchange between the two, or anything. Of course when the media questions her about it she hides behind the excuse of the films are supposed to be kid friendly (because straight people making out totally doesn't happen in kids movies), or Dumbledore's love was never actually reciprocated, which is a flat out lie because she even said herself that the two were a couple for a time. She'll just say whatever makes her look better in the eyes of the media and her fans, which is deeply unsettling to me.Also @nidza, the fact you seriously think that this is in any way specific to this forum shows how ignorant you really are. I feel like this hardly needs reiterating, but since some people on here clearly aren't aware I'll do it anyway.Back in December, JK released a tweet in which she vocally showed her support for a TERF (trans exclusionary radical feminist). I won't get into all the specifics of that particular case since frankly, others have already done it far better than I could, and you can find out all of this information yourself with a simple google search.The Maya Forstater thing was just the tip of the iceberg though. More recently, we're talking in the past week or so, she was called out by a trans activist, who also happens to be trans herself, and is also a former candidate for the green party. This person, Nicola Spurling, quoted a tweet from the guardian regarding the series this very thread is dedicated to, adding that this was certainly something to keep an eye on, and that JK has shown that she can not be trusted around children due to her transphobia, something I wholeheartedly agree with, btw. What followed after that was a series of back and forth tweets between the two, during which JK threatened Nicola with legal action lest she back down and remove the offending tweet. I think you can probably guess what happened after that.With power comes responsibility, and JK Rowling is blatantly abusing her power.
