Re: latency problem in reaper lets do an extreme experiment:1. Go into preferences and set your block size to 322. Check the box that says request block size, press OK.3. If nothing changes, then go back and uncheck the checkbox, then try again. If it does not work, then you are just out of luck and definitely need a better piece of gear that can perform accordingly. Re: latency problem in reaper Hit Control P, and check your audio devices in the Devices tab. Be sure that microphone is set as input, and headset as output. Also be sure that both sample rates of the devices are the same. You can confirm this by typing "mmsys.cpl" into the Run dialog, then going into your device and Control Tab to Advanced and check the devices' sample rate. In my case I had my microphone at 16 bit and speakers at 24 bit, I had to change my speakers to match my microphone's bit rate. Also, never buy Alienware anything.There's a settings dialog in Reaper for audio settings with buffer sizes and such in it; you want to find that and play with the numbers. I can't give you specifics, because it's different for everyone's hardware and VSTs. You just have to fiddle with the numbers. Obviously you want to try to make them all lower.
