Old tread let's see if someone took it further.
Problem with a digital equalizer is that the supposed loop is not a real
loop. One would expect the loop as last Out-In just before the DAC.
The loop is to early in the digital line - it can only be used in
between LMS and DAC.

Hi Scott,
Just read the KEF speaker blurb and it seems there are two input
options, 3.5mm analogue (that's the radio taken care of), USB-limited to
24/96.
So, assuming you like the sound of the Speakers (is it possible to try a
pair at home first?) you should be good to go with the Radio/s.

True, speaker position is an issue... However, I wonder if in the
multichannel world, there might actually be a little more
standardization. For example the 'ITU-R BS.775-3'

As for favorite multichannel albums I've heard one that actually uses
the extra channels with any degree of artfullness: Björk's Medulla (on
SACD). On Medulla any and all of the front, center or rear channels can
be used as the primary point of origin for the music.
Is there any reason you want the KEFs? You'd be better getting a set of
actives that don't have the USB DAC functionality if you're not going to
use it?
I was looking at them but I want to plug them into a PC :)

Getting multichannel done right can be a bit of a challenge of

without all these bits and pieces I've had to cobble together!

Funny no one has mentioned the 5000 pound elephant in the room, namely
