The Q303 sound is very similar to the QII amps, but with more firm bass
oompf. I would recommend it if you want a "tube" sound.
They are a bit old now so a refurb is necessary. There are different
options here.

No need to replace the Touch, as you seem to have a nice setup. Room
treatment and other speakers go a long way. More than the marginal
differences in the digital domain.
Enjoy the music and take out and clean the connectors every now and
then. Even the mains connectors. Sounds like an upgrade.

Funny that the last few metres of cable has such a big influence on the
sound. The 1s and 0s have passed through kilometres of network cables
and all kinds of routers, switches, noisy server environments and god
knows what else, but it is still the last bit that changes the world.
They pay because they can afford it. And the rest is expectation bias.
Who says a person spending thousands on a switch is an "audiophile" and
can hear a difference? I think most of them just have too much money.

Sure, but Qobuz is not available in my country and I don't want to mess

There is a noticwable difference between 192 kbps streams an FLAC

I try out a SoTM SMS-200 streamer right now into a Quad USB DAC (450
euro when new). I compare it to my SBT with linear PSU and its analogue
outputs. I hear no difference. Maybe others do, but I don't.

I have an SB Touch and ran it through a Quad Elite CDP, sold the CDP and
used a Quad USB DAC (450ish) instead.
I had the opportunity to borrow a SoTM streamer (500ish) and
paired it with the Quad DAC. Listened and thought there was an
improvement.
Yesterday I decided to compare this setup to
Stick to the SBT. Install the EDO plugin and test USB.
With LMS 8.0.0 it beautifully integrates for instance Tidal with the
local music library. You can even play random Tidal favourites, which is
not even possible with Tidal itself...
Lower the power amp sensitivity. Voltage dvider maybe?

I have noticed the same when I use the Duet controller to my Touch
I finally figured out what's going on with the backlight. If I use only
the Touch to control everything, your app works perfectly. But, I use

I use a Quad 99 CD player which has a digital preamp with six inputs.
Very convenient if you want to play a CD every now and then...
The DAC is oversampling and can also manage up to 24 bit 96 kHz input.
