So far I've managed to snag from eBay a decent Thurbly PM310 Bench PSU,
a mint Fluke 175 DMM, and a VGC Farnell Signal generator (total cost
$150) ... still not quite got that scope yet though :o(
A Philips/Fluke 3217 or PM3050 should be with me soon!.

You want to see the signal
For $13k I'll build you my completely jitter-proof AK4396-based DAC,
then you won't have to worry about it :)

We use Sencore test gear for all of our digital post-production suites.

Their analog sets are great, too.

Erm - thanks Sean!
I'm bidding on a Tektronix 2225 at the moment - it's an older model but
probably OK for what I need.
I'd love to spring $13k for a jitter analyser...but I think my wife

Cheers and thanks

If I wanted a scope for looking at SPFIF waveforms, what bandwidth would
be good enough?
I'm interested in doing some experiments on the SB SPDIF and would like
to make some proper measurements!
(sorry if this is the wrong forum for this question)
Thanks

You want to see
Pat - thanks!
So 50Mhz would be OK (I'm not looking at jitter) - that's cool...roll
on eBay!
Cheers

You want to see the signal path BEFORE it gets onto a CD/vinyl...it
ain't what you'd call minimal...

One ususally buys an 'scope that can handle a comfortable amount over
