Gather a number of Kiwi gliders have a s/s V cutting hook on top fuse nose say 8cm forward of canopy. Often mounted in vent area and picks up wires and cuts them. Another place to mount slip string. It may be OK for NZ sheep fences but not so sure about cattle fences. Has anybody got

There has been confusion on disk brakes and the fluid used. I got the reply below from Barbara Dörflein at Tost with an explaination on Schleicher gliders (see below). I also know some of the h36 Dimonas imported from Thailand had their rubbers changed and converted to aviation fluid. I

Hey Bruce- I seem to remember that little round bald man with a discusB (Bob the burntout Bricky) succeeded to pull the canopy knob instead of water dump on final glide one day. I always had to take care with Ventus and the confusion over knobs on RH side and was the one design thing wrong

Hi all I cam across an ad in a friends ultralight magazine for a horse drawn zep... (sorry) motorglider. See www.whisperaircraft.com Looks to South African in origin and probably designed to meet ultralight standards (similar to Pipistrel Sinus motorglider). Anyone know anything about these?

Winter is approaching and that means cold fronts, snow and best of all Mountain Wave :) 3 intrepid Skysurfers took the sky today at Bunyan into a less than inviting sky - shortest flight of the day 2.5 hours, best altitude 12,000ft - Bugga. How was your day in the office? SDF

Were you not there on the Friday last year? We've always had at least some wave during the camp of the past 20 years or so. Mind you we've also had excellent thermals, sea breeze fronts, ridge soaring, thick fog and overnight snow. But I've yet to hear anyone say at the end of the week that they
