I fully understand where you are coming from and I have a certain amount of

Believe me, I never intended to go beyond the first edition but before

First of all let me thank all of you for your advice and the encouraging
feedback on my book.
Given that many of you tried to assist I think it is only fair that I provide
some feedback.
About 90% of all respondents chose to reply off line and I must say that their

Multiple warnings about cyber piracy were received with one fellow author
advising that - for exactly this reason - he will never publish an e-book again.
The issue of piracy and copyright on ebooks etc. is interesting,
especially with technical manuals.

I, like many of the older generation (+75) would certainly prefer the printed
copy. I think it is a splendid book, with the current version on my
bookshelf and the earlier versions circulating amongst the club's up and

I am a little on the fence here. My preference for technical books is eBook. I
own so many technical books in my field, literally purchasing a new one almost
weekly. Having access to eBooks on things like Safari Online is a great
advantage in my field of programming.
