I suspect that claim stems from prior versions being certified carrying over if 
no significant changes to those aspects of the implementation have occurred. 
They'd have to recertify, I believe, to claim 2008 or 2017 conformance.

I can't find any evidence of that on the opengroup.org websites
(including historical via web.archive.org) for that particular
version of Apple's MacOS/X aka OS X aka macOS.
