[authors] Request for Author role
Hello Everybody, I am Sandeep from Portsmouth. I joined the OOo Authors mailing list two days ago and have used Open Office before. As I was browsing I found this site and thought that I can help with the writing as well. I've just completed a Masters course in Technical Communication and have 8 months experience working in a software development environment at Zeta Interactive (an email marketing company). If you can give me the consent for the Author's role then I can contribute for the required features. Thanks Regards, Sandeep
[authors] Request for Author role
Hi, I joined the OOo authors mailing list recently. I would like to request 'Author's role' as per the instructions on your website, so that I can start contributing towards reviews and new articles. Also, I haven't been able to login into http://www.oooauthors.org/ although I have registered, bcos the 'login' hyperlink on the home page is not active. Which is the web page where I will be able to login? Any help is greatly appreciated. Thanks. Sowbhagya Sundaresan

Re: [authors] Request for Author role
Thanks for offering the role. I figured out the login box on the left side of the page and it works fine! Initially I was trying the 'login' situated at the top, right corner of the page. I guess its non-functional and quite misleading. Thanks again. Re: [authors] Request for Author role
Thanks. Its great to be part of the team at OpenOffice.org. A quick introduction about myself. I am a Bachelors of Engineering graduate with 2 years work experience as a test engineer, which included work in documentation. I am now planning to launch a career in the field of technical writing and I would like to kick-start with my contributions at OpenOffice.org. My strengths include: * Authoring documents that interpret a process in easy to understand step-action procedures * Creating easy-to-follow file structure which allows for effortless updates * Developing sensible file naming schemes to simplify file search * Strong command over English language * Sharp eye for detail Right now Im getting myself familiarized with the products and process here and planning to start some review work shortly.
