However, (12) is easily achieved by the package author in the manner that coreutils does it right now: adding something like `9>&2' to TESTS_ENVIRONMENT or, preferably, the per-extension test driver (see the last patch). The other issues are easily postponed (i.e., are useful TODO items, but nothing that prevents the current branch from being releasable). Cheers, Ralf
