[avahi] Solve duplicate hostnames problem?

Hello, any idea how to stop hostname conflict that leads to adding numbering at the end of hostnames continuously?? For example I have a “John Laptop” that goes “John Laptop (2)”, and keeps doing this forever.. For example I have “John Laptop (982)” now. ___

[avahi] Duplicate Hostnames

Guys any news on the duplicate hostname bug? I use avahi to rebroadcast mDNS between VLANS, and all devices start taking suffixes (2) (3), i have seen devices reaching 11.000. I have a device “Mac Mini (11739)” How can I stop this? -- Best regards, Achilleas CTO
