Rick, Although I'm most familiar with Altera, Lattice and Xilinx FPGA's, they all have one thing in common and that's the serial flash device that they configure from on power up. I'll assume without checking that the Atmel is the same. I would think you could certainly come up with a method

Hi Rick: I too am interested in this topic. I have a board that has an AVR and an Altera FPGA on it, which at the moment I need to program separately. Some options I've thought of: 1. Daisy-chain the JTAG from the Mega128 to the Altera. This doesn't seem to work, I believe it's due to the AVR
