prompt uses english keymap instead of XKBLAYOUT=de

Hi, since my last awesome update to 3.4.14 my awesome prompt uses the english keymap although /etd/default/keyboard contains: XKBLAYOUT=de All applications and the ttys1-6 use the german keyboard layout. I'm on Debian (unstable + experimental). Where could I start to search? Regards, Thomas

hallo Camusensei and Alok, thank you for your reply. i kept on testing. emacs crashes only at startup. so, if emacs is proper started, i can move to any awful.layout and work with emacs without crashing. additionally i found out that emacs even in awful.layout tile.bottom, tile.top,

hej Camusensei, finally I ... switched to vi. no. jokes by side. (even i do sometimes use vi.) emacs was compiled with -gtk -gtk3, so that could not be the bug. how ever, I compiled emacs in addition with -X. so emacs starts now in general in command line mode. man, I love the command line mode
