If you use a keyboard shortcut for that application you can call
awful.tag.viewonly function that will repair keyboard handling. If you switch
virtual desktops by keyboard you can use that function there, too.
e.g.:
awful.key({ modkey, }, f,
function ()
awful.util.spawn(opera)
awful.tag.viewonly(tags[1][1])
end)

User who did this - Steffen Schulz (pepe) Attached to Project - awesome Summary - no keyboard shortcuts after closing window Task Type - Bug Report Category - Core Status - Unconfirmed Assigned To - Operating System - Linux Severity - Medium Priority - Normal Reported Version - git/master Due in Version - Undecided Due Date - Undecided Details - Valknut is a graphical p2p file sharing tool that also has some kind of 'systray icon' When valknut is closed and no more windows reside on the current desktop or when the virtual deskop is switched from valknut to an empty desktop, no keyboard shortcuts work anymore. I have to use the mouse to open a window, focus the other screen or do some other action with awesome to get the normal shortcuts working again.
