Hi Vijay

Let me tell you the purpose of the GL -- >Setup -- > Financial Statement

You are able to get the reports from the system like the trial balance and
other ledger reports.

The purpose of Financial statement is that you should be able to design your
own financial statements like balance sheet and profit & loss according to
your own format..which then you can print for the management.

Let me tell you about the Dimension focus, Financial statement and Row
definition

Dimension Focus: it is used if your management want to see the financial
report department wise or ledger account wise then you can select any number
of dimensions in the dimension focus and you will be able to design the
repot accordingly. Also this is mandatory to create a dimension focus. You
can even only select ledger account in the dimension focus.

Row Definition: it is where you will design your financial report here you
have to do the whole designing of your report

Financial Statement: this is the layout of your report means you report will
be printed on the basis of this setup. Here you define how many columns my
report will have and also their name and you assign a row definition to the
financial statement which you have designed. Then you would be able to print
your own financial statement

Hope it would help you J

Regards ,

Sanam
