As of Axis 1.2, we only support UTF-8 and UTF-16 encoding. This is dictated
by the WS-I Basic Profile. Please search the mailing list for background
information.

Cedric,
According to the following article, WSDL does not support the use of
attachments. That feature will be adding in the WS-I Basic Profile 1.1
which is still under development.

Keith,
In general, the approach you are taking will not work with other languages.
You see for example, C# does not include a Long data type. It only includes
long and Object. I suggest another approach using marker values.
Good luck,

Some days the build fails. That is why you are not seeing a binary. Look for an
earlier date.

Olaf,
You what it is worth, I have been using XML with Java for several years
and have never heard of GnuJaxp.jar. I seriously doubt it is up to the
compliance level required by Axis. Even Crimson has occasional problems
and it is included in the JDK 1.4.x.
Good luck,

The Microsoft JVM only supports JDK 1.1x. Axis requires at least JDK
1.3+. I do not know of any options for that JDK level.
