Which time period in Vila Franca is missing? The only one that appears to
be missing is 1663-1669 in VFSM. Is this the period you are referring to?

I understand, I have the same situation in one of my lines from Vila Franca do
Campo, I can't find a couple's wedding because that time period is missing, I
can only trace one side further back because the bride's name is unusual. Very
frustrating! Good luck with your search.

Doug and Antonio,
I second all you've said. I've been using Brother's Keeper since the late
90's for two reasons. 1.) Accents and 2.) It supports a Portuguese language
option.

Wow, Antonio. You will love the upgrades since version 5.It's also more stable on the newer computers.I've been using v7 all day today and there are only minor changes I have noticed from version 6. I think the main improvement is at the background level, the code, which makes it stable. It probably

Thank you Mnk.
I have found the marriage of the sister of Jose in Santa Cruz and followed
that line.
The problem is the line of Verissima Joaquina, because the book for that
time period is not online.

have found records of Pacheco family who have been buried public cemetery
in that parish. The burials would have been late 1800s. What happened to

Hello Geraldo,
I don't have this couple, but the baptism does say they were "received " in the
parish, so they definitely married in Santo Antonio, Porto Judeu. The
padrinhos are the brother and sister to Jose Coelho de Serpa so you might
search for them in the marriages to find the next gener
I'm afraid they do not link up, at least as far as the records go. It is
interesting that a third brother, Manuel da Costa Loureiro, also used the
name Columbreiro. I suspect that one of his grandparents are Columbreiro's,
perhaps from Achada, where many early Columbreiro's settled. In fact I ha
