Hi Cheri,
I'm so disappointed I can't go this year! Family issues prevent me leaving
during that time! I learned so much when I went and enjoyed being with so many
other Azoreans!
Please let us know the date of the next one well in advance so I can make a
long range plan!
Have a great

Today is the day you need to have your hotel room booked (To get the
rate of stay 3, get the 4th free). Conference fees are due in a couple of
more weeks. Here is the announcement if anyone missed it.

Thanks, Nancy Jean. I think, not exactly sure, I have found their arrival
in the US and I think they came out of Terceira so I will try and follow
that lead but where did they apply for their Passportes? and Terceira is
not online or is it? You can see I am way behind the times.

Hi E,
I would guess Angra for the passport but Horta isn't too far.
I don't know about a taxi but some friends of ours stayed in a windmill tourist
lodging last year and thought it was very nice.

Which port would passengers from Graciosa ca 1900 leave from to the US?
Also, do you need a taxi driver to take you around the island, if so, any

Nancy, I am disappointed that you will no be able to attend this year! We
will get together one of these times. LOL I'm really surprised that so
many of our attendees are returning people but I guess they just like to be
with all the rest of the crazy Portuguese researchers! We so enjoy them
I have also been trying to find them, but was told they do come out of
Terceira but they are not on line as of yet for that area.
Thank you

I am aware of the 1883-1894 gap, which of course includes the year I am
most interested in (1889). Which is why I was surprised to see one of
Eric's attachments labeled PD passports 1888x.jpg. 1888 is also in that
gap.
