Doreen, I’ve seen the term used in records for the island of Sao Jorge. As
suggested please post the link. Regardless there is no church na Ponta as it
is the name of the place where they reside. The church will be the same where
the respective record resides.

I have found a record that indicates the person was born Ponta do Pico. The
problem is what church would I look at for the records? When I did a google
search it just indicate that it was the peak of Pico island. Does anybody have
