Most of Sao Miguel stops in 1905. Some parishes in Ponta Delgada go up to 1911. The rest of the Azores goes up to 1911. The archives in Ponta Delgada said they ran out of room for the books. So for any other records, you have to write the Civil Registry or use Joao Ventura. I hope you have the

Elaine, if you have an approximate date of him leaving the Azores, try the Passportes Lists on the CCA site, here: https://tombo.pt/d/acores for Sao Miguel and do a search for his name. If you find him, it will list the village of birth and parent names then you can go from there. Rosemarie
