The librarian told me that is the Archives Catalog. For all 3 archives:
http://www.arquivos.azores.gov.pt/

I google: archeevo azores
and it pulls it up.

She said it's the "Archives Catalog." So we can quit calling it the "Secret
Site" or the "Back Door." It's their Archives Catalog. Now we have the
correct terminology.

I really don't think this is complete. I can pull up the inventories and
wills, but it only pulls up Sao Miguel residents.

When searching, you don't need diacritics (the accented marks) and you can
use quotes. If you are looking for information for anyone who lived in São
Pedro on Santa Maria island, you can search "sao pedro" "santa maria" and
it will pull it up. If you put just "sao pedro" only, you'd get anything
from any church named São Pedro anywhere in the Azores. So use quotes.

For those who have never taken an Internet class: Quotes keep a series of
words together. "george washington" will turn up things on people named
George Washington. A search for: george washington
Will turn up George Smith who went to Seattle, Washington. (This is an
example. Don't search the Azorean Archives Catalog for George Washington).

Also, they have special searches. I asked the librarian for Ernesto do
Canto's index (it's a Sao Miguel thing), but the way I wrote it on the
request wasn't right. She searched the above site and put "ec" in there.
How would I know to use abbreviations? So there's stuff that they are
trained in and they know better how to search.
