Yes. Father to son.
2) The lack of importance the Azoreans gave to surnames is one way the
names can end up being different, at the end of the day. Also, when these
Y-DNA markers decided to show up, nations weren't, in genera
35 out of 37 is related. A genetic distance of 2: http://goo.gl/Xt61e7
But 23 out of 25 is starting to fall apart. And if you are haplogroup R1b,
then you only want to pay attention to your 37 and 67 marker matches.
