Hello folks, I have been researching one of my lines in Calheta on Sao Jorge, and unearthed some interesting information in one of the manuscript genealogies. There is a paragraph that appears to talk about the life of my ancestor, and his promotion to second lieutenant, and his appointment the position of otary, and whatnot. Cannot make out much of the content, as I do not speak Portuguese.
