This has happened to me a couple of times and I am not sure how to correct it. My niece sent me an attachment to her email. I am using Windows XP on my main computer. On my laptop I am using Windows 7. It opens in Windows 7 OK but in XP it is just a bunch of small boxes. What do I have to do

Depending on what type of file it is, you probably do not have the correct program to open up the attachement on your main computer. If its a document and you don't have microsoft word on your computer for example and opened it up in notebook or some other word processing program on your computer

From your description of your problem, it looks like your niece is using a microsoft 2010 programs. This program does not work under XP. To view a microsoft 2010 program on XP, you need to get the microsoft viewer. With this program you will not be able to update the file, only view. This
