transcribed and indexed José as João in the 1996 record. An unfortunate
coincidence with the initial error on his daughter's baptism in 1900. If
you open the document though, it clearly says José. Familysearch.org did

Also, I do know that Margarida had many more children. I believe the first
was Ursula and possibly born shortly after their marriage, before going
back. My have been what prompted them to go 'home'. I
I don’t know this family but was bored so decided to do some detective
work. Here are my results:
I believe they married brothers. Filomena married João and Margarida
married José. These brothers are from São João, Lajes, Pico:

I came across this and need to correct the fact that Joao is NOT Jose. It
is like saying John is Joseph. My Great Grandfather is Jose, not Joao. I
tried to fix this on the CITCEM site as I noted it was there incorrectly
but it just wouldn't let me. I know it's been a while since this was posted
