Which Maiato is your ancestor?
Matias de Sousa Maiato, along with his two brothers listed below, are the
first of that name to appear in Rabo de Peixe. So their father, Francisco
da Costa Maiato, who married twice, is the source of all the Maiato's of
Rabo de Peixe.

There are quite a few Maiato's in Rabo de Peixe. They originate in Matriz
da Ribeira Grande with Rodrigues line, where there are quite a few more.
You can easily find them on Joao Luis Silva site.
