Thank you, Neil. My grandfather was an infant when he came to America. He
was married in NYC in 1911, but I don't know how to go about finding where
specifically. I wish I knew the names of my great grandparents as I think
that would solve some puzzles.

Neil Teixeira here. You need to ID his correct name and village on
Faial Island. I would first get a copy of his marriage record from
which-ever Catholic Church he was married in. The Priest would have wanted
the "exact" village he was born at & baptized in which exact Church.
