Hello cousins Shirley and Cheri,
Their 2nd daughter Maria da Trinidade is my 4th great grandmother. She was
born in Sao Pedro, Vila Franca and married Manoel Pacheco there in on Jan 7,
1806. Darn those missing pages! I have two couples that I'm stuck on because
they are missing!

Maria Natalia,
Yeah, that's what I have. I don't have her death date or her hubby's
death. And I have only 1 kid for them.
Unless anyone else (besides me, Shirley, Maria, Altino, Salli) are
interested in this line, I suggest we go off-list and swap information that

Now that you mention it, I think I vaguely remember something about a hospital
named Misericordia. I haven't had any ancestors die at a hospital or
Misericordia.

Eliseu,
We have Urgent Care here too.
In my city, we have 2 hospitals. The smaller one is run by a Catholic

The new Hospital must have opened after May 1998. My daughter, (and I) spent
one night in the old hospital in Ponta Delgada while we were visiting for the
Santo Christo festa that year! It was an experience to say the least.
I believe the hospital in Vila Franca is across from Matriz church.

Well, Maria, now that I know how you are related, I can tell that something
is going on Chromosome 4 between you, me, my dad, and Shirley Allegre.
Yet, Albert Souza isn't matching there, and we are all Manuel Furtado
Marianna da Trindade descendants. Hmmm, this is going to be a tough one.

Hermano,
Thanks. But in 1813, they got his body from Ribeira Quente (isolated back
then) to Vila Franca? There were no covered wagons. They must have used a
boat and donkey over land? Was that unusual? I don't think I've run
across any other ancestors being buried somewhere else. They
