I am researching for the Crespim family from New Bedford Americo Cazemiro Crespim was born March 9 1895 in Requego Grade Portugal. He married about 1915 in New Bedford to Mary Vieira Cabeca. Where would I look for information on his family going back, since i believe this is on the mainland.

A quick look at St. John's Cemetery book I have: No Crespim's listed. There is a Mario Leite b. 1896 d. ? and a Louise C. b. 1906-1968 buried together. It could be there do not have a stone if they are buried at St. John's as the book I have was done by reading the stones. Mainland Portugal

My family has a grave site at St. John's and there are 10 people buried in the plot. The only marker that is there says Tavares. My great-great grandparents were named Tavares but all the others are descendants or in-laws. We got the card from the cemetery office to find out who was buried

Marge, There is a Joao J. Garcia b, 1859 d, 1918 and Antonio J. b. ? d. 9/18/1916 They are in the Sixth Avenue Section at St. John's Cemetery. Maybe wife Maria was buried at St. Mary's as that was where the Portuguese were buried before St. John's or maybe they could not afford a stone when she
