Is there an accepted way of determining which names are First and Middle
and which are surnames? For example, Joao Cabral Pimentel or de Pimentel.
Is it entered as Joao Cabral as middle names and Pimentel or de Pimentel as
surname or is the surname Cabral Pimentel? or does it not really matter

I had my father tested for MtDNA and Y-DNA. So far, I've only had a
match with MtDNA and while it is possible for the match to be
traceable, it could be so far back to be impossible (if I remember how
the matching works.) However, I know that my father's maternal line
belongs to Haplogroup J* and

I don't know anything about the claim about the Azoran population, but
I've often found it interesting that the Portuguese influence on slave
trade is practically hidden. I personally have always accepted the
fact that I am Portuguese and yes, the Portuguese did pretty much
bring the slave trade
