No one remembers to upload! I went looking
Cheri,
When you re-upload, do you have to remove the first upload first or do you
reupload directly over it?

Marie,
You have to remove it. There's no way to upload a Gedcom without removing
the old one first.

Yes, there was a bug at one time that marked all the places as unknown.
Really annoying! They fixed it so those who have unknown need to
reupload. No one remembers to upload! I went looking at Todd Brown's tree
and saw he was one with the unknowns, so I asked him if he could reupload.

Rick,
Very well written. I too, do not understand the reluctancy of a majority of
the ftDNA
Linda J,
We'd need to know your genealogy software program for specific directions,
but generally it's FileExport and you pick Gedcom from the choices.

Here are the directions to make a Gedcom from Ancestry.com. Scroll down
almost half way where it says Downloading a Gedcom.

One of the most frustration things in Genetic Genealogy is having a match
with a person and not being able to look for a common connection because no
tree is posted on Family Tree DNA and all efforts to contact the match are
fruitless. I have two 2nd Cousin matches and have tried numerous times
Rick,
Very well written. I too, do not understand the reluctancy of a majority
of the ftDNA population. I hope we can at least get the Azores DNA Project
members to see the value of the Family Trees.
