I still think it is defuntos as Angela suggested, but I've been working in this
parish and have seen a lot of "da Fontes". I just wouldn't completely rule

I think Angela is correct. The priest wrote "de Funtos" instead of
defuntos which sure makes it look like a name. If so, then
I think it says «filho de José Soares e de sua mulher Dona Isabel da
Conceição defuntos (...)» - hopefully someone can shed more light.
