Dear all,

I've spent much of last week-end on ahcpd. The main changes are:

  - there is now a real configuration file;
  - server selection is now being performed.

The first point means that the way to invoke a server-side ahcpd has
changed. Instead of the horrible "-S", you pass it a configuration file
using "-c".  Here's an example:

  mode server
  prefix fde6:20f5:c9ac:358::/64
  prefix 192.168.4.128/25
  lease-dir /var/lib/leases
  name-server fde6:20f5:c9ac:358::1
  name-server 192.168.4.1
  ntp-server 192.168.4.2

This is documented in detail in the manual page, an online copy is on

  http://www.pps.jussieu.fr/~jch/software/ahcp/ahcpd.html

The second point means that ahcpd is now able to choose the right one
among a set of different servers. For example, if you run it with "-4",
ahcpd will ignore servers that only serve IPv6 addresses, and correctly
search for one that gives out iPv4. This is not quite complete yet, but
the infrastructure is there.

                                        Juliusz
