I did read an interesting argument in favour of keeping details like these distinct and separate... Which is definitely going to be one of the key concerns the DP project's gonna have to deal with from day dot - friends have rights too... The ability to almost set a flag to your details somehow to mark the fact that you don't want them to be shared anyway or anyhow without your specific consent - I know it seems simple(ish) to implement but in a world of preexisting infrastructures and incompatible db schemas, it's going to be a hellish thing to consistently implement.
