I clearly remember having seen an ad (ThinkGeek perhaps?) for a tripod mount with three large (2 or 3 inch) suction cups, designed for speedboats (!), claimed to be ideal for curved slick surfaces and to grip even better in wetter conditions. If I manage to find it I'll post a link :-) Sean On
