I use rsync 3.0.6 on my macs and it work perfectly and very stable and
reliable.
I recommend using 3.0.6 because of stability. 2.9.6 had a problem on
filesystems with too many hard links on it (memory allocation problem)

upgrade from 2008.11 to 2009.06 -:)
The most time consuming thing I had to do was install the required perl
modules.
I did this via CPAN.

The email address is a combination of the user and the destdomain. You
can always use an alias or
