I should have said that you could use a single pool/cpool and have different pc directories on each server. then you could take advantage of pooling yet have different servers handling different machines. I have looked for some stats on how well GFS handles high I/O loads and can't find

did you recently update the windows servers? any chance you have installed a new antivirus or enabled windows defender? are you running active directory? windows servers do so much self-modification with windows updates or installed software or even changes to group policy and possible

ok, so you know the username has read access everywhere, you havent change any antivirus or antispyware. have you updated the backuppc OS? did you check drive space on the backuppc server? and check the setting in the config of maxdisk usage? can you mount one of the remote drives on
