Notice the "C$". You need to use $Conf{SmbShareName}, not
$Conf{smbShareName}. Config variables are case sensitive.

I've posted a similar a question before but since I didn't get any response
the first time, I guess I'll try again . :)
For some reason I'm getting alot of "link pending". During the first backups

did you recently update the windows servers? any chance you have installed
a new antivirus or enabled windows defender? are you running active
directory? windows servers do so much self-modification with windows
updates or installed software or even changes to group policy and possible
exclusion

I should have said that you could use a single pool/cpool and have different
pc directories on each server. then you could take advantage of pooling yet
have different servers handling different machines.
I have looked for some stats on how well GFS handles high I/O loads and
can't find anything.
Its five different machines.
