in my /etc/httpd/conf/httpd.conf I have the following:
User backuppc
Group backuppc
I've tried
User apache
Group apache
but backuppc guy was not happy
with
User backuppc
Group apache
I'm still getting 504 error.
I've changed /etc/httpd/conf.d/BackupPC.conf like this:

I run OpenVPN at home and at my parent's house. Then I use the /etc/hosts
file, on the backuppc system, to point a hostname to an IP address on the
parent's network.

i tested BackupPC since a few months at home with 5 Linux Clients and it is
working well. Thanks all for this great peace of software.
I now want that my family can backup from there Windows, Ubuntu and Linux Mint
Clients to that server. The Server is running Debian with latest BPC.
