Check your /tmp directory or MySQL 'tmpdir' location to see it it's filling up with temporary DB data. This same problem happened to, in my case it was dying at around the 180GB mark. Moving the MySQL tmpdir to a much larger location took care of my problem. -John On Wed, Jul 08, 2009 at
