Hello!,
I have an IBM NAS 3300 with Data OnTap 7.3 to export directories over CIFS
protocol. I want know what is the best way to do a backup with Bacula.
Thank you very much.

Hello,
We tried to restore some file from the backup tapes for one of the remtoe

default location which is a local directory.
So where does Bacula restoring the files?? How can we cross verify the same?

You're right; I was looking at something else entirely - I was comparing
file_fp_idx and file_jobid_idx with a 3rd set of numbers I forgot to post - the
numbers after running the vacuumdb, and then subsequently running the REINDEX
command; they were identical. So, I guess it's no longer true
IBM NAS is basically re-branded NetApp filer. You may export the directories to
bacula server over NFS and back it up (you will loose the Windows ACL info) or
add it to the include list on the windows client where it is shared.

Hi Richard,
I would make a move instead of a delete so I keep the data, and dump
the mysql schema.
To reset bacula, I just need to drop the database and recreate the
schema ? (and change the data location to my NAS)
Yes. But you are best advised to stop

Easiest would probably be to restore your catalog backup with bextract.
You could also do a fresh install and bscan tapes, but this takes longer.
Someone can chime in and correct me if I'm wrong, but I believe you can
start with the current version
