I seem to have gotten my 2.4.4 director and catalog upgraded to 3.0.2 by
doing the following:
* Installed Bacula 3.0.2 on CentOS 5.4;

installed a Linux system the distro was distributed a big stack of

to run a full backup every 3 days, doing incremental in the middle.
At some point, I keep no full backup, as it seems like the volume that
contains the full backup is being recycled
