Did some digging and I can't come up with much.
Long story short, I'm trying to come up with a (semi-) intelligent way
to back up MySQL binary logs.
I've made areal good progress with this project, but would be elated
if I could find a way to set and subsequently pass user-defined
variables

I think 5.1 (odd minor in version number) is a development version that

I'm occupied with some performance issues regarding to my backups. I set
debug=20 and trace=1 within bconsole for a client and a storage daemon and
traced some messages from the daemons within tests. Everything work. But
nothing traced then to the corresponding files within last nigthly b
