Did you restart the bacula server? If so print the error message you
get when you run your backup.

Using this (127.0.0.1 or localhost) prevents bacula from being a
network backup program since the external client can not access the
server via 127.0.0.1..

Hi all.
I have configured bacula Server in CentOS and a client in windows, so the
Server can see the client, testing the FileSet i can see the files of the
client, the job run but it doesn't transfer any byte to the disk.
The Storage Section in bacula-dir.con is:

Ho do other packaging solutions solve this problem? Or do they
install always the server and the client part together?

A long running problem with the Bacula port is being worked on by Alonso
Cárdenas Márquez. I have been testing out his changes recently.
The problem: shared libraries installed by one of the ports are
reinstalled by the other ports. This problem has raised its head in a few
recent posts.

Stephen, by the way, if you're not already aware of it: You probably
want to set innodb_flush_log_at_trx_commit = 0.
The default value of this setting is 1, which causes the log buffer to
be written out to the lgo file and the logfile flushed to disk at every
transaction commit. (Which obviousl

Hello,
I'm trying to make a Virtual backup of a machine that I already backed-up with
a base backup and a full backup after.
The problem is that the backup's size of the virtual backup is the same of the
full backup. Witch tell us that it is not taking the base for doing the Virtual
Backup.

I suggest using autofs to automount the drive to a specific mountpoint,

That is correct.

Hi,
I'm rather new to bacula: i've worked with it for 6 months now. But
now, there is happening something which I do not understand: Automatic
Volume Recycling. I've got a client with a job retention of 6 months
with autoprune on. It writes to a pool (File storage) with a volume
retention of 1 yea

Hello,
Does anyone know whether the job directive: "Cancel Lower Level Duplicates"
applies to verify jobs too?
The scenario I have is that my main backup of around 1.5TB takes 24-48 hours to
complete. During this time, other backups run, but once my verify job is queued
by the normal daily sch
