I have a CentOS 6 x64 box with dassit's packages that sends mysqld to 100%
when running a diff from a windows server with ~290Gb of data and 315k files.
The server has 12Gb ram and a decent r10 array for the volumes that normally
gets
over 80Mb/s on writes when doing a full for this same client.
You could make a clone of the whole catalog (outside of bacula) and then use
the bconsole delete volume command to remove unwanted volumes from each
catalog.

you can delete orphaned clients with Bacula's dbcheck utility.

I have seen this several times. Particularly with slow laptop clients
and compression turned on. Some NIC drivers appear to shutoff power to
the network interface after a period of network inactivity, and I
believe the inactivity is probably due to the laptop being too
underpowered to compress
