Hello,

I'm studying disaster recovery with Windows, and I'd like to know if anyone has some information about "on line" saving, and then restoring from an empty disk.

To save :

As it is said in the Bacula's doc, I used the command NTBackup systemstate ..., and then I saved with Bacula.

To restore :

After having installed an OS (on another directory : C:\WINTEST), I restored Bacula's datas on this OS (I found my datas, ...., and the original directory with the system files C:\WINNT), and then I used the NTBackup's restore for the systemstate.

But I'd like to do is to restore the systemstate on the original OS (C:\WINNT, the one which is not running actually). Do you think it is possible, or both directories C:\WINNT and C:\WINTEST must be the same?

I hope I'm clear enough, if not I'll try again.

Kind regards.

Romain
